New Media Small Travel Grants
General description:
TOL with the assistance of MediaPoint is offering small travel grants in order to support Moldovan new media enthusiasts to participate at events outside of their country’s immediate vicinity and to put them in touch with other activists engaged in innovative projects in other parts of Central and Eastern Europe.
Target group: Moldovan new media enthusiasts
Area: countries outside of immediate vicinity.
Type of the events:
Emphasis should be on participation in advanced new media events that increase the linkages between the media, NGOs, and the Internet community, exposing each group to the challenges faced by the others and attempting to get them to think beyond their traditional ways of solving problems. For example
- Bar Camps
- Seed Camps
- Bridge camps
- Trainings
- Etc.
Dead-line: On rolling basis.
Expenses covered: Transportation and accommodation costs
Other requirements: Before the grant is awarded, acceptance in the event and visa should be secured.

Transitions (TOL) is a non-profit organization established to strengthen the professionalism, independence and impact of the news media in the post-communist countries of Europe and the former Soviet Union. They do this through a combination of journalism and New Media training programs, and the publication of Transitions Online magazine. TOL was established in April 1999.
MediaPoint’s mission is to develop a global community of people and ideas that promote social innovation through New Media. Media Point Organization has more than 60 volunteers. Every six months we recruit a new generation of volunteers that are enthusiastic young people with (R)evolutionary ideas.
